A standardized patient is a volunteer who portrays a patient in realistic simulation scenarios to help nursing students practice clinical skills, communication, and decision-making in a safe environment.

No, all simulations are non-invasive and use acting, props, and mannequins where needed. Volunteers will not receive any actual injections, treatments, or procedures—everything is simulated for educational purposes only.
